REUTERS HAS POSTED A SPECIAL REPORT ON THE WEEDKILLER GLYPHOSATE AND THE EVIDENCE ABOUT ITS LINKS TO CANCER.
The World Health Organization’s cancer agency says a common weedkiller, Glyphosate, weedkiller is “probably carcinogenic.” According to the report, the scientist leading that review knew of fresh data showing no cancer link – but he never mentioned it, and the agency did not take it into account….IARC told Reuters that its evaluations follow strict scientific criteria and that its carcinogen classification system “is recognized and used as a reference all around the world.” It reiterated that in the interests of transparency it considers only published data…. Bob Tarone, a retired statistician who worked alongside Blair and others at the National Cancer Institute for 28 years before moving to the for-profit International Epidemiology Institute, said he could find “no ready explanation regarding the available scientific evidence” for the data not to have been published.
I’ve attempted to summarize a long article below in the few sentences above. To read the entire Reuters Special Report on Glyphosate visit Reuters.com Investigates — Special Report: Glyphosate Cancer Data
